Katsina Govt Flags Off Special Foreign Scholarship to 68 Scholars

The Katsina State Government has officially flagged off second batch of special foreign scholarship to study Artificial Intelligence and Biotechnology in China .

A total of 68 citizens of the state would benefit from the initiative.

Speaking during the official flag -off ceremony today, Tuesday, September 10, the Governor of Katsina state , Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda said that he administration was determined to empower the teeming youth with education and technology .

He explained that the scholarship was a complete package that comprised passport , visa processing fee, traveling expenses, books expenses and accommodation.

Radda stated that Parents are not expected to pay any amount of money , adding that the scholarship would be based on merit and student would be selected from poor background.

He explained that for students who read Artificial Intelligence on graduation would help the state in human empowerment and I C T.

While saying students who studied Bio- Technology on graduation would help the state to transform agricultural sector, special green plant technology and environmental conservation among others.

He called on beneficiaries to be academically sound and be good ambassadors of the state and country at large, stressing that they should also be of good morals.

One of the beneficiaries of the scholarship, Armayu Nuhu from Fantua Local Government who spoke on behalf of other beneficiaries expressed gratitude God (Allah) and thanked Katsina Sate Government for the gesture.
