In a move to alleviate the financial burden on intending pilgrims, Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has announced a significant support package for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
Each pilgrim from the state will receive a hadiya package of seven hundred and twenty Saudi riyals, alongside the traditional Sallah gift while in the Holy Land.
Governor Radda emphasized the state’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj experience, directing the delegation and Pilgrims’ Welfare Board to safeguard pilgrims’ allowances without any deductions.
Despite challenges posed by increased Hajj fares, Governor Radda expressed gratitude for the full payment made by intending pilgrims.
The newly inaugurated eleven-member state delegation, led by former Deputy Governor Alhaji Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi, is tasked with overseeing the 2024 Hajj operations and providing a comprehensive report on its conduct.
Chairman Alhaji Tukur Jikamshi pledged to collaborate closely with the pilgrims’ board to deliver an exceptional pilgrimage experience for Katsina’s pilgrims.
Governor Radda’s initiative underscores the state’s unwavering support for its citizens embarking on this sacred journey.
