Katsina Government set to upset pension, gratuities of retired civil servants

The Katsina State Government, says it is set to pay all the pension and gratuities of
the retired civil servants from the state and Local Government Areas in the state.

Alh. Bello Hussaini Kagara, the Katsina state commissioner of Budget and
Economic planning disclosed this during the Annual Budget Break down on
Wednesday in Katsina.

Kagara further disclosed that the state Government had set aside the sum of N15.4
Billion for the payment of the pension and gratuities.

He also disclosed that the state government had made all the necessary
arrangements to settle the state retired civil servants at least by the end of
December, 2024.

The commissioner revealed that the State Government will settle all Local
Governments retired civil servants between months of June and July, 2025.

Kagara said that the necessary screening had been conducted for the smooth
payment of the retirees in the state.

He further said that the state government is committed to upsetting the pension and
gratuities of the Senior citizens in the state.
