Kano State Executive Council has approved over 35 billion for Verious projects

The Kano state Executive Councils under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has Approved the sum of over 35 billion naira for verious Projecs that will lift the state to the next levels.

This was came out after the meeting during Press Briefing with the Honourable commissioner of imformation Alh, Baba Halilu Dantiye MNI and Commissioners of Works, Land and Pyhsical Planing after the Councils on Thursday nigth.

The Councils said they have Approved of contract for the reconstruction of Kura – Kubarachi – Madobi Road and the failed Kubarachi Bridge in Kura and Madobi Local Government Areas in the sum of 11,976,727,228.30 billion naira, then Approval of contract for the dualization of road from Government House Roundabout – Loadge Road – Race Course Road – Daula Hotel Roundabout in Nassarawa Local Government Area in the sum of 2,644,865,384.44 billion Naira.

Baba Dantiye added that during the sitting they gave agree of Approval for the revalidation and continuation of contract for the completion of 5km dualized road in Ungogo Local Government Area in the sum of 1,315,754,324.22 billion naira,
Where also Approved of construction and renovation/completion works at the new site for Drug & Medical Consumables Supply Agency at Kwanar Kwankwaso in the sum of 409,378,439.96 million naira.

” Approval for the pipeline extension to Na’ibawa Eastern Bypass Layout and Unguwa-Uku Yan-Awaki communities in the sum of 153,000,000.00 million naira, with the Approval for the 18no. proposed water supply package tagged Abba Kabir Yusuf 2024 Reach Out Water Supply Project Phase I at the cost of 319,308,407.82 million naira.”

“We further gevan the Approval for the supply of water treatment chemicals for the month of November, December, and January at the cost of 387,000,000.00 million naira and Approval for the procurement of 120,000 bags of 25kg rice for distribution across the 11,222 polling units in the state at the cost of 3,960,000,000.00 million naira.

Then the state governmen has Approved for the purchase of 30 trucks of 50kg parboiled rice from Messrs Al-Hamsad Rice Mill Limited in the sum of 1,188,000,000.00 billion naira and Approved for variation and settlement of outstanding payment in respect of the completed project for the construction of Senate Chamber Building at Yusuf Maitama Sule University Permanent Site in the sum of 387,127,277.84 million naira.

The Councils granted the Approved for the revalidation, settlement of outstanding certificates and completion/construction of Magistrate Courts across Kano State in the sum of 586,340,577.73 million naira and revalidation and continuation of contract for the completion of 5km dualized road in Warawa Local Government in the sum of 47,696,605.36 million naira.

The Commissioner of Imformation added that their sitting has agree of the Approval for the construction of Juma’at Masjid for Rijiyar Gwangwan community Jido along Maiduguri Road, Kano in the sum of 69,480,517.76 million naira.

“This Executive Councils has Approved for the installation of all in – one solar powered streetlight at Ayagi Quarters and neighborhood in the sum of 63,334,700.00 million naira while accepted for the rehabilitation of Madobi Bridge – Madobi – Yako Kafin Maiyaki Road and Yako – Kiru Road in the sum of 10,699,873,060.41 billion naira

Baba Dantiye maintan that the sitting also agree the Approval for the general renovation works of all MDA’s at Audu Bako Secretariat Office Complex, Kano State in the sun of 853,157,462.42 million naira.

In his remarks the Commissioner of works and Housing Engr Marwan Ahmad have appealed to the general public to avide the law enacted for the stating workin in Tal’udu under and overpass.

Engr Marwan Ahmad also called on residents and those coming from outskert of the city to divart to the roads provided by the government for safety.

He added that contractors will start working in BUK Dan’agundi road where indicate diversion to some major roads provided before commencing the work on weekend.
