In a poignant ceremony at the government house chambers, Governor Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State officially inaugurated Alhaji Abdullahi Sani Safana as the acting chairman of Safana local government.
This appointment comes in the wake of the unfortunate passing of Alhaji Kabir Umar, the former chairman, who succumbed to illness just last week.
The event was attended by families, well-wishers, and chairmen from various local government councils across the state.
Governor Radda, in his address, emphasized the importance of unity and inclusivity in governance.
He urged the new acting chairman to carry along all the people of the area and foster harmony among them.
Furthermore, Governor Radda called on stakeholders in the area and other council chairmen in the state to extend their cooperation to the acting chairman for the overall progress and development of Safana local government.
