KATSINA — Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, has received a strong show of political solidarity from members of the APC Companions, who visited the Government House to reaffirm their loyalty to his administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The delegation, led by the group’s Patron, Dr. Aminu Waziri, used the meeting to restate its commitment to strengthening the APC and supporting the party’s efforts to consolidate its political structure in Katsina State.
Receiving the group, Governor Radda described the visit as an important opportunity for dialogue, noting that regular engagement among party stakeholders was critical to maintaining unity and advancing the development of the state.
The Governor commended the APC Companions for their expression of confidence in his administration and their continued support for the ruling party.
Radda stressed that unity, cooperation and solidarity remained vital among APC stakeholders, particularly as the party moves towards the 2027 elections.
He urged members and supporters to sustain consultations and strengthen collaboration at all levels, saying a cohesive political structure would be essential to preserving the gains recorded by the administration and ensuring continued progress in Katsina.
Earlier, Dr. Aminu Waziri said the delegation was at the Government House primarily to reaffirm its support for Governor Radda and the APC.
He assured the Governor that the group would continue to contribute to efforts aimed at strengthening the party and mobilising support for its success in the 2027 elections.
The Katsina State Chairman of the APC Companions, Usman Umar Mai Ruwa, also pledged the group’s continued solidarity with the Governor and the party.
Mai Ruwa said the organisation was prepared to work closely with relevant stakeholders and make meaningful contributions towards achieving the APC’s objectives in the forthcoming elections.
The meeting was attended by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Aisha Aminu Malumfashi; Chairman of Gwagware Foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Ali Musawa; alongside other senior government officials.
The meeting further underscored the growing emphasis on political unity and stakeholder engagement within the APC in Katsina as preparations gradually intensify for the 2027 electoral season.
