The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Katsina Sector Command, has launched a large-scale traffic control operation at key locations across the state to tackle persistent gridlock and improve the free flow of traffic.
The exercise, according to the Command, follows resolutions reached during the First Quarter Strategy Meeting at the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja, aimed at boosting operational efficiency and strengthening road safety nationwide.
Speaking on the initiative, the Sector Commander, CC Ali Hinna Ibrahim, said the operation was designed to maintain a smooth and efficient traffic system, especially within busy metropolitan areas across the state.
He explained that the exercise also reflects the Command’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to better public service and safer road usage.
The Sector Commander added that the operation aligns with the Corps Marshal’s 2026 strategic goals focused on humanitarian-driven road safety, stronger community engagement, and intelligence-led operations.
The Command reassured motorists and other road users of its determination to reduce road crashes, remove traffic bottlenecks, and ensure safer highways across Katsina State.
