KATSINA — The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command, has decorated 46 newly promoted officers and marshals, marking another milestone in the careers of personnel elevated in the 2026 promotion exercise.
The decoration ceremony, held on August 27, 2026, at the Command’s permanent office conference hall in Katsina, was chaired by the Sector Commander, CC Ali Hinna Ibrahim.
The colourful ceremony brought together senior officers, other personnel, family members, friends and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the newly promoted officers and marshals.
A total of 46 personnel received their new ranks during the ceremony. The figure comprised 13 officers and 33 marshals.
Among the promoted officers were three Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC), one Chief Route Commander (CRC), two Superintendent Route Commanders (SRC), two Route Commanders (RC), and five Deputy Route Commanders (DRC).
The remaining 33 personnel were marshals promoted across various ranks, ranging from Principal Marshal Inspector to Road Marshal Assistant I.
Speaking during the event, goodwill messages were delivered by the special guest, who congratulated the newly promoted personnel and encouraged them to see their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility, discipline and commitment to road safety.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity for colleagues, relatives and friends to celebrate the achievement of the newly decorated personnel, as they formally assumed their elevated ranks.
The event came to a close with a vote of thanks delivered by the most senior officer among the newly decorated personnel, ACC Ibrahim Abdurrashid, who expressed appreciation to the FRSC leadership, guests, families and colleagues for their support.
The decoration is expected to further strengthen the morale of personnel and inspire them to redouble their efforts toward improving road safety and protecting lives and property across Katsina State.
