The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS1.3 Katsina, CC Maxwell K. Lede, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Katsina State Police Command as part of his familiarization tour and drive to strengthen inter-agency cooperation.
Lede was warmly received by ACP K. Randawa and later met with the Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Shehu, fdc, in his office. During the visit, the Sector Commander emphasized that the engagement was not just a formality but a lawful obligation geared towards deepening the FRSC’s operational mandate across the state.
Highlighting key areas of synergy, Lede called for enhanced collaboration in personnel and facility security, armed support during special patrols and mobile court operations, and intelligence sharing—particularly in leveraging FRSC’s National Vehicle Identification System (NVIS) during investigations.
He also introduced the FRSC Mobile App, outlining its user-friendly features and urging the police to maximize its benefits.
In his remarks, CP Mohammed Shehu commended the visit and reaffirmed the Nigeria Police’s unwavering commitment to continued support, stressing the importance of a unified front in ensuring a safe and secure Katsina State.
The visit marks a significant step toward solidifying operational ties between the FRSC and the Police, reinforcing their joint mission to enhance public safety across the state.
