The Katsina State Police Command thwarted a kidnap attempt by suspected bandits in Faskari Local Government Area, rescuing all victims unhurt and recovering 94 rustled animals.
Acting on intelligence, the Faskari Divisional Police swiftly mobilized to Unguwar Sarkin Fulani Dutsen Dadi via Tafoki village, where armed bandits had struck, abducting residents and making away with two cows, 92 sheep, and goats.
Engaging the assailants in a fierce gun duel, the police forced the criminals to flee with gunshot wounds, ensuring the safe return of the victims and stolen livestock. Efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects.
Commending the officers for their bravery and professionalism, Commissioner of Police CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, psc+, urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement by providing timely intelligence to combat crime effectively.
