November 2nd, 2024, has been officially slated by the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu as the date for the turbaning of Comptroller General of Custom, (Rtd) Mohammed A. Umar at the royal palace.
A statement by the Bauchi emirate council recalled that Comptroller General Mohammed was conferred with the traditional title of Chikaren Bauchi in 2012, whereas the turbaning ceremony would now be held on 2nd November, 2024
“This prestigious event will be held concurrently with the wedding of Chikare’s daughter, making it a momentous occasion for the family and the Bauchi community at large”, Chikare’s family sources said.
The would be crowned Chikaren Bauchi in a letter to esteemed guests, friends and associates expressed his deepest gratitude to the Emir, Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu and his council for the honor bestowed upon him.
Chikare also extended invitations to notable personalities who have positively impacted on his life and career, requesting their presence at the grand ceremony.
“The envisioned colourful ceremony ceremony is expected to attract celebrants from far and near within and outside the state, and even beyond”, the statement concluded.
