The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched an investigation into Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, for his alleged extravagant use of Naira notes.
Operatives of the EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Command initiated the probe after a video surfaced showing Bobrisky spraying and displaying wads of new Naira notes at a movie premiere event in Lagos on March 24, 2024.
Further investigation revealed that this wasn’t an isolated incident, as Bobrisky allegedly engaged in similar behavior at various event centers and parties.
Upon receiving an invitation from the EFCC, the 31-year-old celebrity voluntarily presented himself at the Lagos Zonal Command on Wednesday, April 4, 2024, for questioning and provided his statement.
As the investigation progresses, Bobrisky may face charges in court, pending the conclusion of the EFCC’s inquiries into the matter.
