Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Commits to Partnership with ‘Know Your Neighbor’ Community Development Initiative to Address Insecurity

The Chairman of the Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, has announced the collaboration with the outfit aimed at addressing the issue of insecurity in the state.

During a courtesy visit by members of the Know Your Neighbor Community Development Initiative to the Chairman’s office, Comrade Dederi expressed his commitment to organizing a workshop bringing together members of both organizations, saying the workshop will focus on raising awareness and educating participants on the importance of collective efforts in combating insecurity.

Speaking earlier, the Executive Director of the Know Your Neighbor Community Development Initiative, Comrade Muhammad Sani Garba, highlighted the purpose of the visit as a gesture of goodwill and to congratulate the new leadership of the Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists on their recent appointment.

Comrade Garba emphasized the initiatives taken by their organization in collaboration with security agencies to promote awareness within local communities on the significance of understanding and engaging with neighbors for enhanced security measures.

Furthermore, Comrade Garba mentioned ongoing partnerships with various stakeholders from both public and private sectors to drive community development initiatives, promote good governance, and ensure efficient service delivery to the citizens.

Comrade Garba extended his congratulations and well wishes to the Chairman and executive members of the Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, urging them to continue their dedicated service in fulfilling their essential role.

The visit concluded with a group photograph capturing the shared commitment and spirit of collaboration between the Know Your Neighbor Community Development Initiative and the Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
