Customs Chief Visits Mando Construction Site to Assess Progress

The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, made a surprise visit to the Customs Cantonment construction site in Mando, Kaduna, on Thursday, March 7, 2024, to gauge the advancement of the project.

After inspecting the site, Adeniyi expressed satisfaction with the project’s development, emphasizing its importance in establishing robust infrastructure to support Customs operations.

“The construction of the Customs Cantonment in Mando, Kaduna, is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring the welfare of our personnel,” Adeniyi stated. “It will provide modern facilities to facilitate effective duty performance.”

Highlighting the significance of the project’s completion, Adeniyi stressed its role in strengthening border security and combating illicit activities in the region.

“I commend the dedication of everyone involved in this project,” he added. “Your efforts are vital in realizing our goal of a modern and efficient Customs Service.”

Before the site visit, Adeniyi was accorded a ceremonial guard of honor by Customs Police Unit personnel at the Zonal Headquarters in Kabala-Doki, Kaduna.
