COURT SLAMS EX-BANK OFFICIALS WITH 7-YEAR JAIL TERMS OVER N7.8m FRAUD

Borno State Government

Justice A.A. Bello of the Kaduna State High Court has convicted and sentenced two former bank officials to seven years imprisonment each over separate fraud cases involving about N7.8 million.

The convicts, Obadofin Daniel Bamise and Hadiza Oyiza Yakubu, were prosecuted by the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on one-count charges bordering on fraud.

The court found both ex-bank workers guilty after proceedings established their involvement in the financial crimes, leading to their conviction and sentencing.
