Clark Calls for Wike’s Arrest over Fiery Threats, Urges IGP to Act Swiftly

Katsina state government

Elder statesman Edwin Clark has urged the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to arrest Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), over a controversial remark.

Wike, during a PDP congress in Rivers, threatened to “put fire” in states siding with Governor Siminalayi Fubara, intensifying the rift between the two political heavyweights.

In an open letter, Clark described Wike’s actions as a “macabre dance” and called for his immediate arrest.

He questioned why similar action taken against other public figures had not been applied to Wike, urging the IGP to ensure the law takes its course.
