CDCFIB Boss Gives Thumbs-Up to NSCDC Promotion Exam, Recruitment Exercise in Katsina

The Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), Major General Abdulmalik Jibril (Rtd), has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the ongoing 2026 Senior Staff Promotion Examination and the 2024/2025 recruitment screening exercise in Katsina State, describing the processes as transparent and well organised.

The commendation came during an assessment visit to the state, where the Board Secretary was received by the Katsina State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant A.D. Moriki Acti Anim, alongside other heads of security agencies in the state.

The delegation inspected the accreditation exercise at the Federal Secretariat Complex along Kano Road before proceeding to the Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management (KSITM), where candidates were sitting for the promotion examination. The team was received by the institution’s Rector, Dr. Musa Ahmed Zayyad.

The officials also visited the NSCDC College for Peace and Disaster Management along Batsari Road, Babbar Rugga, where the ongoing 2024/2025 recruitment screening exercise is being conducted. Acting Commandant of the college, CC Nuhu Dalha, received the delegation.

After touring the facilities, Major General Jibril said the accreditation, examination and recruitment processes had been conducted smoothly, describing the exercise as seamless, orderly and credible.

The assessment visit was attended by the Katsina State Commandant of the NSCDC, the State Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Comptroller of the NIS Jibia Border Command, the Comptroller of the Nigerian Correctional Service and the Controller of the Federal Fire Service, among other senior officials.

The visit underscores the Board’s commitment to ensuring transparency and integrity in the promotion and recruitment processes across agencies under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board.
