Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has charged the Projects monitoring committee to intensify monitoring and evaluation of all projects to ensure timely and quality execution of government projects.
In a press released by Mamman Mohammad the DG press and media affairs to the governor said that, the governor gave the directive on Monday in Damaturu while speaking to government officials.
“This is to ensure that all projects comply with contractual specifications, stand the test of time, and are beneficial to our people” he said.
The Governor also directed site Engineers attached to projects not to compromise contractual specifications, and report sub standard work on the peojects.
“We must have value for money expended on all the projects being executed by the state government.
“This is in line with the policy of accountability being promoted by this administration” Buni said.
The Governor warned in strong terms that government would not tolerate unnecessary delay or sub standard work on any of its projects.
“Government would live upto its responsibility and we expect every contractor to live upto its respomsibility of the agreements reached between government and contractors” the Governor emphasized.
