The Borno State House of Assembly has screened and confirmed three commissioner-designates nominated by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum to join the State Executive Council.
The confirmation exercise was conducted on Thursday during plenary presided over by the Speaker of the House, Abdulkarim Lawan, following the assessment of the nominees’ qualifications, experience, and readiness for public service.
The confirmed nominees are Hon. Bukar Mustapha Dalatu, Hon. Zuwaira Gambo, and Barrister Hauwa Abubakar.
Speaking after the confirmation, Speaker Lawan congratulated the appointees and expressed confidence in their ability to contribute to the growth and development of Borno State.
He urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by delivering quality service to the people.
The confirmation is seen as part of Governor Zulum’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across critical sectors in the state.
