Senator Shehu Buba Umar representing Bauchi south senatorial district has vowed that if given the mandate by the 2027 polls as the state governor would prioritize inclusive growth
equitable development, and transparent governance.
The senator said that his administration in Bauchi through the people’s mandate would also ensure peaceful coexistence, youth empowerment. technology-driven education, and, above all, the security and welfare of citizens.
Declaring his ambition to join the governorship race comes 2027 general elections at Magama Gumau weekend, the senator assured that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) would be the most reliable political vehicle for the chartered mission.
Umar told the unprecedented crowd that besieged Magama Gumau declaration venue for the seat of State Governor that APC in Bauchi state has not only survived in opposition, but equally grown stronger, more united, and more formidable than the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“The APC remains the most reliable political vehicle for this mission. We built this house together, and we shall not abandon it to those whe once mocked, derided, and blacklisted it, only to now return seeking refuge after exhausting their selfish ambitions elsewhere”.
The Senator expressed his gratitude to the APC for the opportunity offered him to serve in the Senate, expressing the confidence that with the support of the party if entrusted with a higher responsibility in 2027 such as the governor, he will deliver unprecedented democracy dividends to every household in the state.
Senator Buba profoundly appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing strong leadership at the national level, which continues to inspire confidence in the ruling party across the country, and congratulated party executives at all levels on their new mandates.
“Today marks the beginning of a historic
journey toward a more prosperous, secure, and united Bauchi State. It is a journey anchored on the solid and dependable platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), a party we have collectively built, defended, and strengthened over the years”.
Buba concluded, “My brothers and sisters, after deep reflection, wide consultations, and overwhelming calls from across our dear state, I stand before you today with humility and gratitude to Allah (S.W.A) to formally declare my intention to contest for the office of Governor of Bauchi State in the 2027 elections”.
