In a shocking incident, more than 150 students have been abducted by bandits from LEA Primary School in Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

The brazen attack occurred at approximately 8 am on Thursday, within the school premises, with reports indicating that the head teacher and other staff members were among those affected.

This distressing event comes just three months after a tragic incident in the same village, where a School Principal lost his life, and his wife was abducted. The community is now grappling with the recurrence of such traumatic incidents within a short span.

It is noteworthy that a couple of years ago, the Junior and Secondary schools in the area were relocated to facilities within Kuriga town due to safety concerns.

Security forces are actively engaged in response efforts, and local authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant while assuring that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safe return of the abducted students.
