Former spokesperson of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council, Daniel Bwala, has hinted at a possible alliance between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, suggesting a dramatic shift in Nigeria’s political landscape.

Speaking during a live television appearance, Bwala stated that Atiku may eventually support Tinubu, citing the President’s leadership style and ongoing governance reforms as factors that may influence the former Vice President’s decision.

“I won’t be surprised if Atiku eventually supports President Tinubu,” Bwala said, adding that in politics, strategic realignments are often driven by national interest and prevailing realities.

The remark has triggered widespread reactions across political camps, especially within the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where whispers of potential defections and future coalitions are growing louder ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Bwala, who recently declared support for President Tinubu, emphasized the importance of placing national unity above partisan loyalty.

Political analysts see this as a potential game-changer, with implications for both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the PDP, as the nation watches for signs of a possible grand coalition.
