In the early hours of June 16, 2024, the Katsina State Police Command thwarted a bandits’ attack on Kwata Quarters in Jibia LGA, rescuing three kidnapped women and a six-month-old baby.
Responding to a distress call at 4:15 AM, DPO Jibia led a swift and courageous operation, engaging the armed bandits in a fierce gun battle.
The timely intervention resulted in the safe rescue of the kidnapped victims, all unharmed.
Commissioner of Police Aliyu Abubakar Musa praised the officers’ bravery and reaffirmed the command’s dedication to safeguarding Katsina’s residents.
Efforts continue to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
