80% animals lost in Borno zoo as flood ravages city – Official

A press release from the Borno State Museum Zoo has announced that the recent flood disaster has caused widespread destruction and loss of yet to establish lives, with over 80% of the animals affected.

Hon. Ali Abatcha Don Best, the general manager announced that the flood has damaged properties and resulted in the loss of many animal lives.

In a concerning development, the General Manager warned that some deadly animals, including crocodiles and snakes, have been washed away into nearby communities.

He urged the public to be aware of the danger and take necessary precautions to avoid these animals.

He assured that measures are being taken to ensure the safety and protection of the remaining animals and staff within the zoo.

He concluded by praying for a quick relief from the disaster and calling on citizens to turn to Almighty Allah for solace.
