Centre For Gender Studies And Girl – Child Education, College Of Education And Legal Studies, Nguru has organised a one day Training Workshop for female students drawn from the tertiary institutions Junior as well as senior secondary schools.
Provost Of the College Prof. Ali Manzo made the disclosure at the venue of the training workshop.
According to him, the Centre For Gender Studies and Girl – Child Education (CGSGCE), is poised to ensuring a better opportunity for Girl – Child Empowerment in terms of acquisition of a life skills.
Also speaking, Prof. Hadiza Abdullahi Usman, Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer, Federal Medical Centre, Nguru who serves as quest speaker stated that ” as someone who has dedicated her career to medicine, teaching, mentorship and leadership and leadership, I have learned that where a girl is born should never determine how far she can go”.
“Girl – Child Education is the process of proving girls with equal access to quality education, knowledge, skills, and opportunities that enable them to became responsible, productive and successful members of society”.
“Career decisions made today shape future success therefore, Nguru Local Government, Yobe State and Nigeria as whole need educated women in every profession”.
While Addressing the participants, Education Secretary Nguru LGEA, Mallam Hamisu Ado Admonished them to be committed towards acquiring Education.
Adding, Yobe State Government has provided you with equal access to be educated take this opportunity, discover your potentials to the fullest.
