By ABC News Nigeria

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has inaugurated the K1000 Grassroots Mobilisation Group for the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 campaign and launched campaign vehicles at Tashar Goriba in Kaita Local Government Area.

The initiative, established by the Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Dr Faisal Kaita, is designed to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) structure and coordinate grassroots mobilisation across Kaita ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Radda described the large turnout as a demonstration of the APC’s support base in the area, while commending Dr Faisal Kaita for his commitment to grassroots engagement and the welfare of his people.

The governor expressed hope that Katsina State would continue to produce leaders who remain committed to serving their communities and contributing to the state’s development.

Radda also recalled activities marking Katsina State’s 39th anniversary, during which Dr Faisal Kaita was among the distinguished indigenes recognised for their contributions to the development of the state.

He assured residents that his administration would sustain efforts to deliver the dividends of democracy across Katsina State.

Earlier, Dr Faisal Kaita explained that the K1000 initiative was established to strengthen the APC’s organisational structure and improve coordination among party members and supporters at the grassroots.

According to him, the mobilisation framework would comprise six representatives at each polling unit, 10 members in every ward and a six-member central working committee responsible for coordinating activities and improving communication across the structure.

The commissioner said the arrangement was intended to create an organised network capable of connecting party leadership with supporters across the local government.

Dr Kaita also highlighted the potential economic benefits of the ongoing railway project linking Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa and Kaita, alongside the planned railway station along the Dutsin Safe axis.

He said the railway development could stimulate commercial activities, open up new economic opportunities and generate employment for residents of Kaita and neighbouring communities.

Also speaking, the Director-General of the K1000 Grassroots Mobilisation Group, Bala Gambo, said Dr Faisal Kaita had maintained a cordial relationship with the people of Kaita and consistently responded to their needs.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Kaita Stakeholders, Alhaji Yunusa Dankama, expressed the readiness of the people to reciprocate government support and development efforts through their participation in the forthcoming elections.

He declared that the stakeholders were prepared to support APC candidates across all elective positions, from top to bottom, in the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration and vehicle launch mark the commencement of the K1000 group’s organised grassroots mobilisation activities in Kaita as political parties begin preparations for the 2027 polls.
