DUTSINMA, Katsina State — Members of the 1985 Class of Yandaka Primary School, Dutsinma, have pledged to support government efforts aimed at improving the standard of education, while also committing resources to the development of their alma mater.
The commitment was made during the union’s maiden annual reunion and meeting held at Yandaka Primary School, where former classmates gathered to rekindle old ties and chart a path for meaningful contributions to education.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Union, Alhaji Sirajo Abba Jaye Dutsinma, represented by the Vice Chairman, Hajiya Uwani Dankawu, said the reunion was organized to strengthen the bond among members and explore ways of supporting the school with teaching and learning materials.
She noted that the group was determined to give back to society by contributing to the growth of education and helping to raise standards at their former school.
According to her, the initiative will not only benefit pupils and teachers but also foster unity among classmates who are reconnecting after many years apart.
Dankawu commended members for their commitment to the success of the gathering and urged them to remain dedicated to the union’s goals and vision.
Also speaking, the Union Secretary, Malam Umar Bishir Nu’uman, thanked Almighty Allah for bringing the former classmates together once again and encouraged other members yet to join the association to become active participants in its activities.
He called on financially capable members to support the union’s objectives, particularly efforts aimed at assisting less privileged classmates and promoting collective development.
Members at the meeting offered suggestions and recommendations on how to strengthen the association and expand its impact on education and community development.
The reunion ended on a nostalgic note as members took a group photograph to preserve memories of the historic gathering and mark the beginning of what they described as a renewed commitment to service, unity and educational advancement.
