
Zulum has assured Corp members posted to the state of prompt payment of their monthly allowance and upset of their accumulated arrears.
Babagana Umara Zulum disclosed this while addressing medical and paramedic NYSC serving in various Heath facilities when he sermon them for a meeting at council chambers of government house maiduguri.
The governor added that henceforth only those posted and beer fully captured by Borno State hospital management board will receive the full allowances of medical doctors saying it is the responsibility of Borno State government to pay all their outstanding allowances pointing out that the Chief medical director hospital management board and SSA on job creation will work ensure that those that are not paid will captured for payment and those who opted to serve with Borno State government will be allowed to stay and serve in the state.
The governor who acknowledged the support of the Corp members for serving the state during insurgency when most of the medical doctors left the services of the state also called on them to continue rendering humanity service to the people of the state.
The governor then presented a token to all the medical and paramedic NYSC members.
The desk officer of the NYSC and SSA on job creation Christopher Godwin Akaba said one hundred and thirty six medical doctors and paramedic NYSC members were posted to the state and following the streamlined of the Corp members henceforth only sixty medical doctors and paramedic will be considered for the full allowances pointing out that payment of their three months allowances is on process .
The leader of the Corp medical and paramedic Dr Abdullahi Abdurahman Ango said they are in the government house at the request of the governor to present their complaint on non-payment of their monthly allowance for some of their members and slashing of allowances for some of their members.
Dr Abdullahi Ango who appreciated the Borno State government’s efforts in providing accommodations to them also appeal for the provision of power to source water in their quarters
