Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of the late elder statesman and business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, in Kano, describing him as a national hero and an irreplaceable father figure to Borno.
Governor Zulum, who traveled to Kano over the weekend, was received by members of the grieving family, where he offered prayers and words of comfort, recalling the remarkable life and impact of the deceased.
In a touching tribute shared earlier, Zulum noted:
“Nigeria has lost a hero, and Borno has lost a dependable father. Dantata was a leader in business, but his most lasting legacy will come from his generosity and philanthropy.”
Governor Zulum recounted Dantata’s unwavering compassion, especially during the 2024 flood disaster that hit parts of Borno.
“His remarkable gesture last year, when he extended significant support to flood-affected communities in Borno State, exemplifies his genuine compassion and commitment to humanity,” Zulum said. “Such acts of kindness and solidarity will always be remembered and cherished.”
He prayed for the eternal rest of Alhaji Dantata’s soul and strength for his family to bear the loss, stating:
“We mourn this great loss, which has left an indelible mark on the lives of many. May Allah (SWT) grant his soul eternal rest and provide strength and solace to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
The visit underscored Zulum’s deep respect for the legacy of Alhaji Dantata, a figure widely revered for his lifetime of service, generosity, and commitment to nation-building.
