Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the appointment of Engr Dr Abdullahi Mohammed Abba as the new General Manager of Borno State Housing Corporation.
Until his appointment, Dr Abba served as a Chief Lecturer at Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri. He has held several key administrative positions, including Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Head of the Physical Planning Unit (Works Department), both at Ramat Polytechnic and State Consultant for the North East Regional Initiative (NERI), among other responsibilities.
Dr Abba holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering and is a member of several professional bodies, including the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE), the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), and the International Association of Hydro-Environmental Engineering and Research (IAHR).
He has participated in numerous professional courses and conferences both within and outside the country and has authored several academic publications.
Governor Zulum congratulated Dr Abba on his appointment and charged him to deploy his vast academic and professional experience towards repositioning and strengthening the corporation.
