Zamfara CP Charts New Security Course, Unveils Achievements in Monthly Review

The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba on Thursday convened a high-level strategy meeting with senior officers of the Command to review progress and fine-tune security operations across the state.

The session, held at the Police Headquarters in Gusau, brought together Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Heads of Departments to strengthen coordination and set clear security objectives for the weeks ahead.

Addressing journalists after the meeting, CP Maikaba highlighted key operational gains recorded between August and early September. These include the arrest of 13 suspected bandits’ collaborators, the rescue of 19 kidnapped victims, recovery of four locally fabricated AK-47 rifles with magazines, and the arrest of four additional suspects linked to various crimes.

The Commissioner singled out ASP Goma Ibrahim and his team for commendation, praising their professionalism which led to the recovery of the firearms and the arrest of two high-profile suspects.

The deliberations also focused on persistent security challenges in Zamfara, with senior officers tabling recommendations to enhance field operations and improve community collaboration.

Reassuring residents, CP Maikaba reaffirmed the Command’s resolve to protect lives and property, stressing that the police will continue working hand-in-hand with stakeholders to restore lasting peace to the state.
