In a heartbreaking turn of events, a young woman was found dead in an apparent suicide at a construction site within CITEC Estate, Life Camp, Abuja, early Tuesday morning.
The FCT Police Command confirmed the discovery after receiving a distress call from the Chief Security Officer of the estate around 7:00 a.m. on April 22, 2025. The lifeless body was found hanging from a container on the site—an image that has since sent shockwaves through the quiet neighborhood.
Responding swiftly, police detectives secured the scene and documented the incident with photographs. Authorities reported no signs of physical violence on the deceased, ruling out foul play at this early stage.
The body was taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jabi, where a medical doctor confirmed her death. The corpse has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for a full autopsy to determine the exact cause.
A mobile phone, found in the woman’s pocket, may offer crucial leads once unlocked, as investigators intensify efforts to uncover what led to the suspected suicide.
As questions loom over the young woman’s identity and motive, the FCT Police has assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway.
