Yobe Works Commissioner Inspects Ongoing Damaturu Flyover Construction

The Yobe State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Engineer Umaru Wakili, has paid an inspection visit to the ongoing construction of the Damaturu Flyover project.

During the visit, the Hon Commissioner charged the contractor handling the project to accelerate work and ensure timely completion in line with the agreed schedule. 

He expressed satisfaction with the level of progress recorded so far, assuring the ministry’s continuous commitment to the successful execution of all ongoing infrastructure projects across the state.

The commissioner emphasized that the administration of HE Governor Mai Mala Buni remains steadfast in its determination to transform and enhance the economic status of Yobe State through massive infrastructure development.

As part of the visit, Engineer Wakili also inspected the reconstruction of the Ngelzarma–Mashio road project, accompanied by directors from the ministry. The project, he noted, is a key component of the state government’s strategy to improve road connectivity and stimulate economic growth.

Reiterating the ministry’s commitment, Engineer Wakili assured that both the Damaturu Flyover and the Ngelzarma–Mashio road projects will be completed to the highest standards and within the stipulated timeframe. He maintained that the projects will greatly ease transportation, enhance commerce, and improve the overall well-being of the citizens.

The inspection visit underscores the state government’s  commitment to infrastructure development as a foundation for economic advancement and improved quality of life for residents.
