The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Yobe State University, Prof. Bukar Jamri, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Federal Government and the North East Development Commission (NEDC) for their steadfast commitment to the growth and development of the institution.
Speaking on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, Staff, and Students, Prof. Jamri also heaped praise on Governor Mai Mala Buni for what he described as the Governor’s “untiring and transformative support” to the University.
Prof. Jamri noted that the timely interventions by the NEDC and federal authorities have played a pivotal role in improving infrastructure, boosting academic capacity, and enhancing the overall learning environment at the state-owned university.
“Our profound gratitude goes to the Federal Government and the North East Development Commission for standing with us in our quest to build a world-class institution. Above all, we commend His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, whose unwavering support continues to inspire hope and excellence within our university community,” he said.
The Vice-Chancellor further reaffirmed the University’s commitment to academic excellence and regional development, vowing to ensure that all resources and support received are judiciously utilized to benefit students and society at large.
The acknowledgment comes at a time when Yobe State University is making strides in academic performance and infrastructural expansion, firmly positioning itself as a beacon of educational transformation in the North-East.
