The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yobe State Council, has celebrated the outstanding victory of three Yobe-born students—Nafisa Aminu, Rukayya Fema, and Hadiza Kalli—who emerged world champions at the 2025 TeenEagle Global English Language Communication Debate Competition in London.

In a statement signed by Council Chairman, Comrade Rajab Muhammad Ismail, the NUJ described the trio’s success as a shining testament to the rising potential of Yobe youths, adding that they had brought global honour to the state.

Comrade Ismail commended Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration for fostering a supportive environment that nurtures youth development and international exposure.

“Their victory gives us renewed hope for the future of Yobe. These young ladies have shown that with the right environment, our youth can excel globally,” he said.

The NUJ congratulated the champions and urged other young people across the state to draw inspiration from their remarkable achievement.
