Xi Jinping Warns U S: ‘Stay Out of China-Taiwan Affairs’

In a stern message that could heighten global tensions, Chinese President Xi Jinping has warned the United States to steer clear of China’s internal affairs, particularly the sensitive issue of Taiwan.

Speaking during a high-level security meeting in Beijing, President Xi declared that “foreign meddling” in the Taiwan matter would be met with “strong countermeasures,” stressing that China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are “non-negotiable.”

“The Taiwan question is at the core of China’s core interests,” Xi said, adding that recent U.S. arms sales and political visits to Taipei are “provocative and dangerous.”

The warning comes amid renewed military drills by China around the Taiwan Strait, which Beijing says are necessary to deter “separatist forces.” Washington, however, has reaffirmed its commitment to Taiwan’s defense under the Taiwan Relations Act.

Analysts say Xi’s statement is a clear message to Washington: China is drawing a red line—any attempt to cross it could have consequences for global peace and security.

This latest warning from the Chinese leader sets the stage for a potential diplomatic standoff between the world’s two biggest powers.
