The newly appointed District Head of Bichi, Alhaji Munir Sanusi Bayero, has officially assumed his role, reaffirming his loyalty to His Royal Highness, Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II and pledging to uphold the values and legacy of the Emirate.

In his speech delivered in Bichi, Wamban Kano highlighted the historical significance of the district, which has long been a stronghold of the Kano Emirate.

He recalled how past Emirs, including Emir Abdullahi Bayero and Khalifa Sir Muhammadu Sanusi, had deep-rooted ties to Bichi, making it a center of royal heritage and leadership.

Alhaji Munir Sanusi Bayero expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II for the trust and responsibilities bestowed upon him.

He acknowledged the Emir’s unwavering support throughout his journey, from his initial appointment as Dan Maje to his elevation as Wambai. He emphasized the importance of loyalty, recalling their time together in exile and celebrating their return to Kano.

“Our family’s lineage and heritage remain strong under His Majesty’s guidance. The unity he has fostered among the royal house is a testament to his wisdom,” he stated.

He urged the descendants of the Emirate to maintain solidarity and support the Emir’s leadership, emphasizing that the Dabo dynasty belongs to all. He cautioned against internal divisions and external influences that could disrupt the harmony of the royal house.

In his capacity as District Head of Bichi, he pledged to follow the footsteps of his predecessors, particularly his elder brother, Wambai Abubakar, in prioritizing education, employment, and welfare programs. He vowed to uphold Emir Sanusi II’s vision, ensuring that education and child nutrition remain key areas of focus.

The Wambai also extended his gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, commending him for his role in restoring the dignity of the Emirate and advancing education in Kano State. He lauded the governor’s leadership and reaffirmed his support for the government’s developmental initiatives in Bichi.
