Vigilantes Foil Bandit Invasion in Sokoto’s Tara Town

In a heroic stand against insecurity, local vigilantes and watchmen in Tara, Sabon Birni Local Government Area, Sokoto State, thwarted a daring attack by bandits on December 30.

The raid, reportedly led by infamous bandit leader “Kallamu,” was met with fierce resistance from the town’s defenders, forcing the assailants to retreat.

Sources revealed to Zagazola Makama that the coordinated efforts and unwavering resolve of the community’s protectors played a crucial role in averting what could have been a tragic assault.

Reacting to the incident, Tara’s leaders urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities. They particularly warned against informants, often disguised as ordinary citizens, who compromise local security for personal gain.
