The newly constructed and commissioned hospital stands as a towering testament to Your Excellency’s steadfast commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility for all residents. Situated within the Lawan Bukar Area, Lamisula ward, Maiduguri, this impressive structure not only signifies progress but also functions as a vital resource for the community, offering comprehensive maternal services and essential medications for kidney diseases, the hospital embodies principles of compassion and care, extending its healing reach to those in need, irrespective of financial constraints.

Under the visionary stewardship of the Vice President, a mere concept has been transformed into a tangible reality, effectively addressing gaps in healthcare provision and ensuring equitable access for all. Your Excellency’s tireless endeavors have not only enriched the lives of numerous individuals but also set a precedent for leadership nationwide.

As the hospital’s doors open to welcome patients from near and far, it heralds a new era of healthcare excellence and inclusivity. This noble initiative not only transforms lives but also conveys a profound message of hope, resilience, and unity.

The hospital boasts a fully equipped pharmacy, featuring a wide range of medications including antihypertensives, antidiabetics, antenatal drugs, and notably, post-kidney transplant medications. These essential medications will be provided free of charge to residents within the metropolis. Previously, post-transplant patients incurred monthly expenses of no less than 400-500 thousand solely on medication. This initiative will significantly mitigate the hardships faced by the members of the community.

In acknowledgment of His Excellency’s unparalleled dedication to public welfare, on behalf of the good people of the Maiduguri Metropolis, I extend my deepest gratitude to the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, whose legacy of compassion will continue to inspire future generations and Dr. Umar Loskurima, the Chief Personal Physician to the Vice President, who oversaw everything about the Maternal centre and managing it upto this moment.

With the spotlight shining on this remarkable achievement, it is an honor to highlight this beacon of hope, illuminating the path toward a healthier and more equitable future for all.”

  1. How I wish this is a Rural Project. We are more concern with Urban Development to the detriment of the Rural Communities, and this unequal distribution of projects is a negative factor that is fueling insecurity.
Our projects need to be security sensitive
