The Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa has extended warm greetings to all Muslim officers, soldiers, ratings, airmen/airwomen, and civilian staff of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr 2024, which marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.

This significant moment he said, provides an opportunity to seek forgiveness, divine favour, and lasting peace for the nation.

As the AFN personnel observe this sacred time, the CDS encouraged them to uphold the values of piety, honesty, tolerance, love, and unity that were embraced during Ramadan.

General Musa further called on troops deployed in various theatres of operation to maintain discipline, resilience, patriotism, and courage in their service to the country. Their sacrifices and steadfast dedication to ensuring Nigeria’s security he noted, are deeply valued, acknowledging the personal costs they sometimes bear.

The Chief of Defence Staff equally appealed to all Nigerians to show love and support to the troops and to keep in their prayers the fallen comrades.

Emphasizing that the Armed Forces of Nigeria belong to all citizens, he highlighted the importance of collective determination in tackling the challenges of insecurity for national development.

Expressing his commitment to the welfare and well-being of troops in all operational areas, General Musa reaffirmed his dedication to supporting those serving the nation.
