Joint Task Force Operatives under the tutilage of Bauchi State Police Command has intercepted two suspects, Ayuba Ahmadu and Danlami Ayuba, of same ages of 25 years each from Bogwas village in KIRFI Local Government Area of the state.
“The two suspects were found in possession of 560 liters of petroleum motor spirit (PMS). The suspects confessed to selling fuel to bandits in the area. Each suspect was carrying a container with 280 liters on a Honda motorcycle”, the suspects were carrying the fuel along KIRFI/Alkaleri LGA
The Bauchi Command Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafi’u Habib said that police during I vestigation recovered from the suspects’ den Two (2) AK 47; Three (3) Dane gun; Two hundred (200) live ammunitions; Forty (40) Empty Shell; Twelve (12) Shape Knifes; Eighteen (18) Cutlasses; One (1) Axe; and Two (2) Sticks.
SP Nafi’u Habib told the press, “On Tuesday, 3rd February, 2026, at about 1400hrs, the ever-alert JTF operatives deployed to Mansur town in Alkaleri LGA intercepted two suspects”, saying the suspects have confessed to their crimes.
In another development, operatives of the Kirfi Police Divisional Office responded to suspected seizures of motorist movement in Kirfi area along Bauchi-Gombe highway, it was discovered that the federal highway was blocked by miscreants near Kalajanga hamlet.
‘During the operation, the team confronted and overpowered the culprit’s which led to the arrest of the dual of siblings Isiya Nasiru 20-yrs and Umaru Nasiru 18-yrs. Exhibits recovered from items include;1. Sticks, 2. A charm bulletproof shirt, 3. One (1) Live Ammunition 4. Facemask, 5. Phones, 6. Bags, and 7. Other personal items”.
“Again, on the 27th January, 2026 at about 0330hrs, following an intelligence report that one  was kidnapped from , a combined team of operatives and local quasi-security outfits tracked the kidnappers to their hideout”.
The team, according to the PPRO, engaged the kidnappers in a gun duel, neutralized one suspected Kidnapper, and arrested the kingpin, Mr. Abdulkadir Adamu aged 60-yr, more interestingly two captives were safely rescued and took to hospital for medical attention.
SP Habib revealed that exhibits recovered during the operation include; 1. Three (3) fabricated revolver gun rifle, 2. One Fabricated SMG gun rifle,3. Three (3) live cartridges,4. One (1) Empty cartridge,5. One Chain and Padlock 6. Two (2) Keypad phones 7. A blindfolded scrap, and 8. Cutlasses
The police in another operation also arrested a suspect for falsely presenting himself as a legal practitioner, alleged to have forged and used the complainant’s expired NBA stamp and seal on legal document, including sale agreement.
‘On 28th January, 2026, Operatives attached to State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) acted on a complaint received from Barrister Adam Tanko Jibril. The Command arrested  for falsely presenting himself as a legal practitioner.”
SP Nafi’u Habib explained that preliminary investigation reveals that the suspect had prior access to the seal while working with the complainant in 2024, saying “The Command is investigating additional complaints from other potential victims”.
PPRO Habib said that the command under the steadfast leadership of CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, remained unwavering in its resolve to create and maintain a safe and secured environment for all, consistently reviewing and adapting our strategies to meet evolving security challenges.
He reiterated the command’s call for continued stronger partnership with the public, whose vigilance in reporting suspicious activities, as seen in these cases, is invaluable, assured citizens that all information provided will be treated with utmost confidentiality and acted upon promptly.
“Let these successes serve as both a reassurance to the law-abiding public and a stern warning to all criminals within our peaceful 50 years old State. Moreover, the Command is more than ever equipped, determined, and duty-bound to apprehend criminal and ensured no one evade justice.”, Habib reassured
