Tragedy struck in Gbajibo village, Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State, when a family disagreement over a traditional title turned deadly, leaving two young men dead.
According to reports, the incident happened on October 3, 2025, following a heated confrontation between 30-year-old Iliyasu Umar Sayidi and 25-year-old Ahmadu Isah, both natives of Bukka village.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the argument quickly degenerated into a violent fight, during which the two men attacked each other with daggers, sustaining serious injuries.
Both victims were immediately rushed to the General Hospital in Jebba, where medical personnel confirmed them dead on arrival.
Police officers later arrived at the scene, documented evidence, and moved the bodies to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Investigations into the tragic incident have been taken over by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Niger State Police Command.
