In a fiery statement, former President Donald J. Trump weighed in on the escalating situation in Syria, where opposition forces have launched a powerful offensive, seizing major cities and closing in on Damascus. Trump described Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime as “crumbling,” predicting its imminent collapse.

Trump pointed to Russia’s inability to support Assad, citing its ongoing struggles in Ukraine, where he claimed over 600,000 soldiers have been lost. “Putin’s regime is failing,” Trump declared, attributing Russia’s entanglement in Syria to what he called President Obama’s “weakness” in enforcing his infamous “red line.”

However, Trump emphasized that the United States should steer clear of the conflict. “THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT,” he stressed. “We’ve spent too much blood and treasure on endless wars in the Middle East. Syria is a mess, but it’s not our problem.”

Instead, Trump urged Americans to focus on domestic priorities like border security and military strength. “Let this play out,” he concluded, doubling down on his signature call to “Make America Great Again!”

The former president’s remarks come as tensions rise in the Middle East, with global leaders watching Syria’s future unfold.
