Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have dealt a major blow to terrorist networks in the North East, foiling a critical logistics movement and neutralising 17 insurgents in a precision ambush operation.
The intelligence-driven operation, carried out in the early hours of December 21, 2025, saw OPHK troops working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters to intercept suspected ISWAP / JAS elements moving supplies between Sojiri and Kayamla villages.
Acting on credible intelligence, the joint force covertly deployed to the interception point on the night of December 20. As predicted, the terrorists arrived at dawn, riding bicycles and ferrying logistics meant to sustain insurgent operations. Troops, already positioned in concealed and coordinated formations, struck decisively.
Seventeen terrorists were neutralised during the exchange, while several others reportedly escaped with gunshot wounds. Items recovered at the scene included bicycles, foodstuffs, drugs and medical supplies, detergents, clothing materials, bicycle tyres, torchlights, assorted logistics items, as well as weapons of different calibres with ammunition.
Following the successful engagement, troops withdrew safely to base, while exploitation and follow-up operations continue to further dominate the area and deny insurgents freedom of movement.
Military authorities described troop morale as high and unwavering, noting that the operation highlights the growing effectiveness of intelligence-led, joint security actions in degrading terrorist supply chains. The Military High Command commended the troops for their gallantry and urged them to sustain the operational momentum.
