Troops Neutralise Five Terrorists in Fresh Borno Offensive

Katsina state government

Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have recorded another major success in the fight against insurgency, neutralising five Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during a fierce ambush at Dipchari, a notorious crossing point in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

Reliable sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation, carried out on October 3, was part of the ongoing Operation Desert Sanity IV aimed at clearing out remnants of terrorist elements in the North East.

The troops, acting on precise intelligence, staged a decisive ambush at Dipchari — located along the boundary between the 151 and 152 Battalions — targeting insurgents’ logistics elements. The confrontation resulted in the death of five terrorists, while others escaped with gunshot wounds.

The operation, according to military sources, also disrupted the insurgents’ logistics networks and curtailed their movement along critical supply routes.

The latest offensive reinforces the theatre command’s determination to sustain maximum pressure on Boko Haram and ISWAP strongholds, as part of ongoing efforts to restore lasting peace and security across the region.
