Troops operating in Niger State’s Zone C have recorded another major breakthrough in the fight against banditry, intercepting the notorious Dogo Gide-led gang after they rustled herds of cattle.
According to military sources, the terrorists were ambushed during their escape route. Outgunned and overwhelmed, many of the criminals were neutralised in the fierce exchange, while the rustled cattle were recovered.
Security officials hailed the operation as another decisive victory against bandit gangs terrorising rural communities, reaffirming the military’s commitment to restore peace and stability in the state.
