In a decisive blow against terrorism, troops of 1 Brigade, Sector 2, Joint Task Force North West, Operation Fansan Yamma, neutralized a notorious terrorist kingpin, Alhaji Ma’oli, and several of his accomplices on December 26, 2024.
The operation, carried out in Mai Sheka village near Kunchin Kalgo in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, marked the end of Ma’oli’s reign of terror. Known for extorting illegal levies from residents of Unguwan Rogo, Mai Sheka, Magazawa, and other areas, Ma’oli’s elimination has sparked relief and celebration among locals.
Acting on credible intelligence about terrorist movements in the Bilbis district, troops swiftly intervened, thwarting an imminent attack and reinforcing their commitment to securing vulnerable communities.
Operation Fansan Yamma reaffirmed its resolve to neutralize all terrorist threats in Zamfara and beyond, pledging continued collaboration with local communities to restore peace and security across the region.
