Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, under TSAFTADAJI III – Phase 2, have neutralized four notorious bandits in Ruwan Kunku, a hotspot along the Gusau-Magami highway in Zamfara State.
Reliable intelligence sources confirmed to Zagazola Makama that the operation, carried out during a weeklong offensive, targeted a criminal gang responsible for multiple kidnappings and attacks on travelers.
Among those eliminated were identified bandits Nazifi, Sakkarawa, Sule, and Dan Kwaiba—all key members of a network operating from Mai Rai Rai village in Bini district, Maru Local Government Area. The gang had ties to the late notorious warlord Kachalla Zakiru, who terrorized the region before meeting his end.
Security forces remain relentless, vowing to sustain the heat deep into bandit enclaves. With intensified operations, more criminals will meet their fate as the military continues its crackdown.
