In a decisive offensive, troops of Sector 2, Joint Task Force North West Operation Fansan Yamma, dismantled notorious terrorist hideouts in Fakai, Shinkafi LGA, Zamfara State, on January 10, 2025.
The operation, supported by the Air Component, targeted camps linked to infamous kingpins Bello Turji and Mallam Ila. Over 25 terrorists were neutralized, with 18 others fleeing with gunshot wounds. Amid the chaos, seven kidnapped victims escaped, marking a major breakthrough in the fight against terror in the region.
“Operation Fansan Yamma remains unwavering in its mission to eradicate threats and restore peace. We urge terrorists to surrender unconditionally,” said Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, Joint Media Coordinator.
The offensive underscores the troops’ commitment to securing communities and dismantling terrorist networks.
