Troops Crush 12 Terrorists, Seize Weapons in Borno Raids

Katsina state government

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), working hand-in-hand with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and other security agencies, have recorded a major breakthrough against Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in Borno State.

In a daring series of long-range tactical offensives carried out between August 29 and 30, troops stormed terrorist hideouts in Tamsu Ngamdu, Dalakaleri, Gaza and Loskori Kura villages, engaging the insurgents in fierce battles.

At Loskori Kura, soldiers overpowered the terrorists in an intense gunfight, leaving 12 fighters neutralised. The operation also yielded a significant haul of arms and supplies, including six AK-47 rifles, eight magazines filled with live rounds, and a stockpile of assorted drugs.

Intelligence sources disclosed that some of the terrorists were spotted receiving treatment after suffering injuries in an earlier clash with troops, further weakening their combat strength.

The successful raids have degraded terrorist networks in the axis, disrupting their movement and cutting off critical logistics channels.

This latest push comes as the Nigerian military steps up combined ground and air offensives across the North-East, zeroing in on strongholds within the Sambisa Forest, Lake Chad Basin, and Mandara Mountains, in a renewed bid to stamp out terrorism in the region.
